Our beautifully renovated house and its adjacent clède, “La Baraque” is located in the heart of the Natural Regional Park of Monts d’Ardèche, a corner of France that offers charming villages, dramatic sceneries, and a daily choice between energetic activities and perfect lethargy. You will enjoy the breath-taking view of the Chassezac valley in this nicely renovated countryside stone-built house. Be prepared to enjoy nice meals, cocktails, or relaxing activities under the vineyards or playing games with kids. The House offers plenty of space and can accommodate up to 12 people plus two babies, therefore is the perfect location to spend a fantastic time with the family or friends. 8 people can sleep in the main building and 4 in the clède, which is a beautifully renovated old-stone building, very typical in the cevenol area, used previously exclusively to dry chestnuts.
Activities nearby are endless. You can explore the nature, walking on the nearby hiking-path, cycling, climbing, fishing, or swimming in the Chassezac River nearby. Canyoning, rafting, climbing are activities to be done within a very short distance. The very famous village of Les Vans with its highly reputed Saturday market, is only 20 minutes drive from the house, driving through amazing landscapes. Just get lost for hours deciding on choice of olives, hams, “Saucissons”, cheeses and sampling the sweetest strawberries and cherries. Added to this are the many stalls of fashionable French clothing, materials and jewellery. Experiment the French Art de Vivre !
